POSITION:             Branch Manager I – Full-time

LOCATIONS:          Deale Library and other branches with future vacancies

SALARY RANGE:   $77,044 - $131,016      GRADE:  20MA – 37.5 hours/weekly

Overall Position Purpose:  Professional, managerial level work in supervising the operations of a branch, serving as a member of the library’s management team, and advocating for library services.  Works as a professional librarian to provide direct public service.

Minimum Qualifications:  Possession of a master’s degree in library science from an American Library Association accredited program and four years professional experience in the provision of public library services, including four years of supervisory experience. 

Necessary Special Requirement:  Ability to secure certification as an advanced Professional Librarian in the State of Maryland within 120 days following appointment; ability to meet re-certification requirements by completing 90 hours of training every 5 years.
